A combination of self-paced online theory, two days in-person, a case study requirement and live zoom lessons.

The Scar Practioner course is a blended online and in-person course, providing first class education in manual treatment for clients with scar tissue, fibrosis and adhesions after oncology surgery and radiotherapy. In addition to scar massage, you will learn techniques for Axillary Web Syndrome (AWS/cording) diaphragm release and rib mobilisations. Basic theory about wound healing, scars, radiotherapy and covering common complications (such as capsular contracture, fat necrosis and working with clients who have a stoma) are included.

Reduce pain and improve movement

Master skills to improve range of movement and reduce pain at any stage after cancer surgery or radiotherapy treatment.

Promote healthy scars

Provide a bespoke treatment program for your clients to reduce common symptoms with clinical treatment and personalised self-scar care.

Treating complex reconstructions

This comprehensive training program is designed to be delivered over 8+ weeks. Online enrolment is activated four weeks before your course and you will have continued access to the course modules via your student dashboard for 12 months. You may subscribe for extended access if you would like to stay enrolled beyond this time.
